Eastern Aspect below Mount Houghton

Toured from the Incline Lake area up to below Mount Houghton. I was consistently in the treeline, staying below 30 degrees considering the latest storm. The conditions were stable throughout my whole tour, with no shooting cracks or whumpfing noted. The weather conditions were overcast skies and light eastern winds, infrequently moving small amounts of snow. Snowpit showed the Dec 11 facet layer showing signs of rounding, but still sugary and unconsolidated. There was another potentially problematic layer that I measured at around 80 cm deep that was 4 finger minus. The compression test was CTH at 25 total taps. Skied back to the car in treeline on a south/southeast aspect with great snow.
