Minor wind transport at Freel

Great riding conditions behind Freel today. I looked for buried surface hoar in several locations and couldn't find any with a protective cap of new snow from yesterday afternoon - it looked like not enough new snow had fallen on top of the surface hoar, which was still visible at the surface.

Winds were fairly light out of the north, and when we gained high points with good views of the surrounding peaks, no wind transport was observed from a distance. Most features within view did not have enough snow to be of concern due to loading from north winds.

On our high point at Freel proper (pin drop), there was some minor wind transport, but no cracking or other signs of instability were observed. 

Pic 1: Surface hoar still at the surface without a protective cap of new snow from yesterday afternoon. Very gentle removal of the surface snow did not reveal anything of concern just below.

Pics 2-4: No wind transport observable from a distance on surrounding peaks. Once on a ridgetop at 10,000ft, some very light wind transport was seen with sastrugi and firm snow, but no signs of instability.
