Hot pow on Powderhouse

Surface hoar on the shady side of lumps and bumps, with wet surface hoar in the sun (picture). Very gloppy skinning conditions today, but better than expected hot pow descending. Persistent weak layer probed 100cm down in many places, and observed as Fist hard under 1F hard snow in two test pit locations near pin drop. The only ECT we performed today propagated on the 11th tap and the column dropped noticeably (video). This coincided with a dramatic whumpf earlier in the day, right when we were transitioning from Grass Lake on to the climb (not at the traditional skin track).
