Moderate wind transport - Nat Geo Bowl

Today we returned to National Geographic Bowl to look for signs of existing wind slabs as well as current wind transport leading to new development of wind slabs. We dug a small test pit at 8,900' on a North facing aspect. Snow down to the pre-storm rain crust displayed in a right-side-up fashion, with Fist hardness at the top progressivley changing to 1F hardness above the crust. No wind slabs were observed. Wind transport was active, with moderate winds out of the southwest. North facing, ~38 degree slope, skied well with limited loose dry activity.
