Deep Powder on Luther Pass

I finally escaped my street and was pleasantly surprised to find parking on Luther Pass. Conditions were excellent for enjoying powder snow. Moderate SW winds calmed down after about 1pm and patches of blue sky increased. Evidence of previous wind effect was obvious by the large wind lips and features above the tree line   but the most recent 5 or so inches of snow was mostly uncohesive. It appeared someone had stomped on a medium sized cornice yesterday and it had broken in dishwasher size chunks but I was unable reproduce this nearby today. Deliberatlely ski cutting the steepest wind loaded test slope I encountered produced small cracks in front of my ski, but no larger propagation. Below the tree line the snow was uncohesive and wonderful and I didn't observe any signs of instabilitty. 

Photo 1: Settlement cones were visible throughout the area.

Photo 2: At the very top of Powderhouse there was minor cracking on the most wind loaded features.

Photo 3: Earlier in the day blowing snow and cloud cover obscured the views above treeline, but the wind lessened and visibility improved later.
