Avalanche on South Camp Peak

We toured from Highway 50 up to South Camp Peak then followed the ridge to the Southeast/East to ski the East chutes that face the Carson Valley. We skied part way down the chutes and did not see signs of instability. We then decided to ski the North face of the South Camp Peak shoulder.  Part way down the North facing slope the small slide was triggered.  We decided to climb and traverse back to the ridge.  On the climb out we saw about 3 crowns of old naturally triggered avalanches.  Temperature was around 43 degrees F, elevation was around 8200ft. Mixed snow conditions on the North facing slope.
