Wind effected

We observed wind effected surface snow in the perazo meadows area, and blowing snow on ridge tops at 8,000 feet. Winds were coming from the North in the area we were. Temps were kept cold our entire ride from 11am until around 3:30pm. No evidence of rapid warming was observed.

Riding conditions were variable, sheltered areas had great snow for making pow turns which was light, dry, unconsolidsted and did not make snowballs. Wind textured areas had firm wind board, and soft deposits. Areas around trees have consolidated snow from previous warming, and tree bombs that have refrozen to create a wide variety changing conditions.
