West Shore Area 		E aspect at 9,000' with minor roller balls as recent storm snow transitions to melt-freeze. E aspect at 8,400' with estabilished melt-freeze, 1 inch of corn, and recent storm snow fully assimilated in sun exposed areas. Openings in the trees on the N slopes held 1-2 inches of recent new snow over soft facets. N aspect at 8,800' with 2 inches new snow on top of 3 inches of F+ hard near surface facets. Right side up snowpack below that. E face of Crag Peak which frequently shows signs of wet loose instability showing none. Forecaster

Mount Rose Area 		A ski cut triggered some short cracking in the wind blown snow on this SW facing test slope, but the wind slab was so soft that it immediately fell apart. Small skier triggered cracking in wind drifted snow. NE winds scouring a NE facing slope and blowing snow over the ridge. Wind scoured area next to a drift of wind-blown snow. ECTN in an area where wind-blown snow had accumulated on top of old weak surface snow (facets). Forecaster

Yuba Pass Area 		Upper snowpack in wind protected below treeline areas Wind drifted snow up to 1' deep on SW side of ridge from strong NE winds this morning. Northerly aspect with up to 1' of wind blown snow with some NE wind protection. Strong NE winds had already scoured exposed northerly aspects back down to previous crusts.
